  • Undertake a situation analysis i.e. scoping the parameters, information sources, research techniques
  • Define, select and develop your market, target markets and marketing mix
  • Develop marketing plan strategies, tactics and actions
  • Develop the right communication strategy for each target market
  • Monitor your marketing performance

Library Design Brief

Project Description: This project was undertaken pro bono for the Rotary Club of Wahroonga (NSW) and involved the development of a comprehensive report and planning document regarding the setting up of a school library for the Lotus Children’s Centre. The report and planning document included site requirements and recommendations in the following areas:

  • Furniture and fittings
  • Shelving
  • Collections
  • Technology
  • Staffing
  • Partnership and collaboration
  • Layout / floor plan design

Ipswich Library and Information Service (QLD)

Procurement Review

Review of the library’s collection procurement processes – this project was related to an earlier project (conducted by another consultancy) on profiling of library collections.

The review included:

  • A detailed analysis of current processes, including associated Council financial processes
  • Face-to-face interview with all key staff
  • Interviews with library suppliers

The outcomes of the project included:

  • Production of a report with findings and recommendations
  • One day staff action planning and priority setting workshop based around the reports recommendations

Geelong Regional Library Corporation (VIC)

Community Library Service

Project Description: Development of a Community Library Service – an extension of the Home Library Service to the four local government areas that make up the region, to more effectively meet the information, recreation, cultural and education needs of the residents and communities.

The project outcomes included:

  • A recommended Staffing structure/model
  • Service alignment with current library strategy
  • Development of various policies and procedures, including a service policy; and volunteer policy
  • Development of an induction and training program i.e. volunteer staff induction and training plan
  • Development of ISO standard metrics
  • Provision of vehicle costings
