RHCS helped develop a comprehensive project plan and grant application to redesign and install new directional signage to the Deerubbin Centre in Windsor, NSW. The Deerubbin Centre is a new state of the art library and gallery with a suite of publicly available meeting rooms. [-] Macquarie Regional Library Service

RHCS conducted a review of local studies collection and access across the Macquarie Regional Library Service and of external agencies and individuals involved in the collection and preservation of local studies materials across the region. The consultation involved both survey and face-to-face meetings with key stakeholders from the library, member Councils, Councilors, and various special interest groups and individuals. The project developed a regional local studies strategy for both the library and other interested groups, organizations and individuals. All member Councils of the Macquarie Regional Library Service (Dubbo, Narromine, Warrumbungle and Wellington) have since adopted the strategy.

RHCS developed a business case and HAC grant funding application for the development of a new West Wyalong Community Centre, including a purpose built Dementia Unit. The HAC grant was successful and brought in approximately $1.6 million in funding for the project.

RHCS conducted an in-depth review of collection management processes and practice. The review evaluated the effectiveness and efficiency of current practice; the viability of introducing an RFID system (business case) and floating collections. The review provided extensive recommendations for change and improvement in the areas of selection and ordering; Acquisition, Cataloguing and Supply; Distribution and Delivery; Circulation; and Collection management – including RFID.

RHCS conducted a review of Queanbeyan City Library’s infrastructure and service delivery model to determine the need or otherwise to expand its services via the addition of another branch. RHCS conducted a review of library services across the three Councils that make up the Clarence Regional Library Service (Clarence Valley; Bellingen and Nambucca). RHCS conducted a review of the MS Societies library services in New South Wales and Victoria.
